Custom Simulation VR Systems Haptics

What is a Turnkey Solution?

Viz-Tek systems have everything you need for a complete virtual reality experience. They include the display system, a cluster of graphic image generating computers (PC workstations), advanced easy-to-use software, 3D sound, motion tracking equipment, screens and projectors, installation, and training.

What is so new in this?

Imagine embedding physics inside your VR simulation, such that objects float in water, objects collide, wind exists, objects deform, and many other properties...imagine creating a character within minutes, giving that character life, walking, running, behavior, and intelligence....imagine allowing the environment to be intelligent by embedding the most sophisticated yet easy-to-use artificial intelligence!

Typical Applications

The levels of immersion and fidelity of Viz-Tek products are unmatched in the field of virtual reality. Through active stereoscopic visualization, sensory integration, and rich scenario content creation, our turnkey solutions provide a means to achieve a potential that is nearly limitless.

Here are some typical applications:

  • Virtual reality sales / marketing events
  • Virtual reality digital prototyping and design reviews
  • Virtual reality neurology, psychology studies
  • Taking your products (virtually) to your customer
  • Virtual reality marketing studies--allow people to critique your product before manufacturing
  • Virtual reality museums
  • Virtual reality historical artifacts
  • Virtual reality architectural walkthroughs
  • Virtual reality ergonomic analysis
  • Virtual reality scientific visualization
  • Virtual reality in psychological studies (acrophobia, fear of heights, etc.)
  • Virtual reality in rehabilitation
  • Virtual reality in 3D medical imaging
  • Virtual reality medical visualization

Clarkson University (Potsdam, New York, USA) currently utilizes a Viz-Tek VR Compliant™ system, using three walls.

The system is used to study assistive technologies (such as recovery
for stroke patients and people with disabilities), rehabilitation, and
various robotic technologies.

The Cyberpsychology Lab
is a research center affiliated with both the University of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO) and the Pierre-Janet Hospital.

The primary goal of the Cyberpsychology Lab of UQO research team
is to study the phenomenon of cyberpsychology from three main
perspectives: (1) fundamental (underlying psychological processes);
(2) clinical (therapeutic effectiveness) and (3) applied (practical
applications in psychology).

Through the use of a Viz-Tek iCUBE™ 6-walled system, UQO studies
various psychological anomalies, including arachnophobia (fear of
spiders), claustrophobia, pedophilia, and acrophobia (fear of heights).
